Grammy Nominee Chris Young on the Story Vince Gill Wishes He’d Stop Telling

On Feb. 12, all eyes will be fixed upon the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, and RCA recording artist Chris Young is definitely excited. The singer is nominated in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category with Cassadee Pope for their chart-topping duet “Think Of You.” Young tells Billboard that being included in the field is something that never gets old. “Being nominated for a Grammy Award is obviously something that you dream about. So to have that happen and it be the second time I’ve been nominated, as well as it being with Cassadee and this song, with all the things that have happened with it is all pretty incredible.”

The song has captivated fans’ attention since the two began performing it live last year, where Young says the song has taken on a life of its own. “I do think there is a great energy for us on stage when we’re doing that song. Part of it is that we are very close friends, but the other part is that she has such a phenomenal voice. It’s a song that I think ‘I better not sing this bad’ because she’s standing across the stage from me. It’s so cool to be able to perform that live, and I’m very excited to be able to celebrate this with her, as well.”
